Course Summary
This ITSSAR accredited course will provide the delegate theoretical and practical knowledge on how to safely operate a Counterbalance Lift Truck.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course the delegate will be able to:

- Responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974, PUWER 98 & LOLER 98
- Operators Safety Code
- Battery maintenance, charging procedures and re-fuelling
- Pre-use checks
- Counterbalance principles and rated capacity
- Factors affecting machine stability
- Machine familiarisation and motive controls
- Hydraulic controls
- Load types
- Manoeuvring in open and confined areas
- Stacking and de-stacking at various levels (bulk stacking and racking systems)
- Stacking and de-stacking corner locating loads
- Vehicle loading and unloading

Delegates will be awarded an ITSSAR certificate of attendance and, will be registered on the TOPS scheme.
