ITSSAR Forward Tipping Dumper
Course Summary
This ITSSAR accredited course will provide the delegate theoretical and practical knowledge on how to safely operate a Forward Tipping Dumper.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course the delegate will be able to:
- Responsibilities under the Health & Safety at Work Act (1974)
- Safe operator practices (Company Mobile Plant Rules if on customer premises)
- Daily and weekly maintenance schedules
- Identification of components and pre-start checks
- Start-up procedures
- Factors affecting stability
- Motive and hydraulic controls
- Manoeuvring in open and confined spaces (level and rough terrain)
- Loading and tipping procedures
- Banksman signalling
- Discharging materials into trench-work
- Travelling on inclines
- Travelling on the public highway
- Working on stock-piles
- Re-fuelling procedures
- Parking and post-stop checks

Certification
Delegates will be awarded an ITSSAR certificate of attendance and, will be registered on the TOPS scheme.
