Taxi CPC: First Aid – Minor Injuries

Course Summary

First Aid: Minor Injuries aims to provide the delegate with the knowledge and skills required to treat and manage a range of minor injuries.

This course has specifically been designed for drivers. Successful completion of the course will contribute 3.5 hours to their Periodic Training.

Course Objectives

By the end of the course the delegate will have covered:

  • First aid legislation
  • Responsibilities of first aider
  • Minimising infection
  • Establishing consciousness
  • Identifying an emergency situation

Recognise, assess and administer first aid for:

  • Suspected head injuries
  • Suspected chest injuries
  • Injured bones, muscles and joints
  • Bleeding
  • Burns and scalds
  • Eye injuries
