Course Summary
Mandatory Disability Awareness aims to provide the delegate with a clear understanding on the safe transportation of people with disabilities in passenger carrying vehicles.
This course has specifically been designed for drivers. Successful completion of the course will contribute 3.5 hours to their Periodic Training.
Course Objectives
By the end of the course the delegate will have covered:
- Passenger awareness
- Passenger assistance
- Safe use of and safety of passengers who use passenger lifts and ramps
- Transporting children and young people with additional needs
- Transporting adults with additional needs
