Course Summary

This NPORS course is designed for anyone who works or wants to work in Low Risk Confined Spaces

Course Objectives

By the end of this course delegates will be able to answer and perform the following:

  • To be able to enter a confined space individually and as part of a team in a trained, competent manner for low-risk environments only
  • Define confined spaces
  • Manage confined spaces
  • Gas detection – Hazardous atmospheres
  • NPORS classification and applications of the types of categories under their control for low, medium and high risk working
  • Diseases / Hygiene
  • Working at height – Harnesses, tripod and winch
  • Manning levels
  • Communication

Assessment

Theory question paper.

Practical assessment.

Certification

Delegates will be awarded a NPORS ID card, valid for 5 years.

If required, a certificate of attendance can also be provided at an additional charge.
